An originally badged Canadian Battle Dress blouse to the North Nova Scotia Highlander of the 3rd Infantry Division. This unit landed on Juno Beach immediately after the assault units on D-day and proceeded inland towards Caen. It was in this area that the unit clashed with Kurt Meyer's 25th Panzergrenadier regiment which infamously murdered 18 of their soldiers in the Abbaye d'Ardenne. This loaded history makes this one of the more evocative D-day related collectibles on offer. The BD is in excellent condition, I have not spotted any moth or damage. It retains its wartime printed regimental titles and division flash. Long service and good conduct stripes and medal bar are original to the uniform which is 1944 dated.
