Fernsprechbetriebstrupp field telephone excha
A "Fernsprechbetriebstrupp", or telephone operations team is responsible for setting up and operating a portable field telephone setup. The photographs show what is needed to set up a 10-line field exchange with a cable tensionsing frame (Abspannbock) and how it could be loaded onto a cable cart (Nachrichtengerätekarren). Another special item shown is the "Nachrichtenleiter", a foldable ladder, which had many uses with the communications troop. In the photographs it is used propped up against a tree to serve as a table for the telephone exchange.
