A Wehrmacht MGZ40 heavy machine gun optical sight. The sight was used on the heavy MG lafette for firing the MG34 or MG42 on long range targets. This is a later war version in ordnance tan in its original ordnance tan box. It shows some wear and tear and age related corrosion but is in overall reasonable condition. The optics could do with some cleaning and adjusting but no major issues. "cme" maker marked.
