British Army rifle ammunition bandolier

A British Army Lee Enfield rifle ammunition bandolier for 50 rounds of ammunition; the bandolier is empty. These bandoliers were an easy way to pick up and carry extra rifle ammunition and they were used by the troops and D-day and by paratroopers to carry extra ammunition. The bandolier is 1944 dated, with a 1945 storage date and a later 1955 storage stamp.
