About Us

Funksammler Militaria was born out of a lifelong passion for collecting WW2 militaria. During my long career as a collector my focus was mainly on communication equipment and on the Normandy battles and Western front campaigns of 1944 and over the years the collection grew to include many amazing items. I now want to make the collection more focussed which means I can offer some of these amazing items to other passionate collectors. I have used the "Funksammler" nom de plume for many years on various internet fora to share my experience of collecting and restoring Wehrmacht communications equipment. 

During my working career I lived and worked in a number of countries. When it came to choosing a home base for my collection I ended up in the beautiful Normandy countryside in France, close to the D-Day invasion beaches. Here I continue my passion for researching and restoring WW2 military history and it is here where the majority of items offered on this website are located. 

I am hoping to offer a good variety of items on this website and I will endeavour to update the website with new items and blogs on a weekly basis. If there is an item you would like to buy, just add the item or items in your shopping basket which allows me to get back to you with the actual shipping cost and payment options. The majority of items will be able to be shipped via the French "Colissimo" parcel service and will be shipped insured and tracked. For heavy or very valuable items pickup can also be arranged. Although I use English on this website, I am happy to communicate with you in French, Dutch or German.
